Where to Eat

There are so many awesome spots to grab a bite around Morgantown to support our cause and in order to support the local economy.  Here is a list of many of the places to try while you're in town:

  • Black Bear Burritos
    • The home of tasty, worldly burritos with locations in downtown and Evansdale.
  • Tailpipes
    • Good shakes, good atmosphere, great burgers! 
  • The Grind
    • Great coffee shop in the dowtown area. Check out the baked items, and the sandwiches around lunchtime. 
  • Tutto Gelato Cafe
    • Great place for fresh gelato and paninis. 
  • Antonio's Chophouse
    • Great Italian cuisine in an upscale atmosphere. The steak here is to die for. 
  • Chic N' Bones
    • If wings and beer are your thing, check out this local bar next to the downtown campus of WVU. 
  • Clutch Wing Shop
    • If wings to-go are more your style, check out the sauce selection here, as well as the melts and tater tots. 
  • The Cupcakerie
    • Local shop doing gourmet cupcakes. 
  • Mountain State Brewing Comany
    • Local West Virginia beer and coal oven baked pizzas. 
  • Morgan's High St. Diner
    • Local diner serving breakfast all day, as well as gourmet milkshakes. 
  • Morgantown Brewing Comany
    • Come for the brews made here in Morgantown, stay for the eclectic menu and local music on weeknights. 
  • Mario's Fishbowl
    • Local dive bar specializing in chicken wings and beer served in goblets called "fish bowls".
  • Iron Horse Tavern
    • Local bar serving high end bar food, cocktails with local ingredients, and a selection of WV beers on tap.
  • Cafe Bacchus

  • Chico's Fat 
    • Burrito shop serving California-style burritos and quesadillas with a nice hippie atmosphere. 
  • Blue Moose Cafe 
    • Coffee shop with a great atmosphere. At night they serve beer and often have open mic nights for local talent to perform. 
 And here are a couple local markets to check out:
  • Mountain People's Co-Op
    • Since 1977 the "Co-Op" has been giving residents a place to buy natural, organic, fair trade, and local products that can't be found at the big box stores. 
  • Garcia's Latin Market 
    • Looking for a taste from south of the border? This market carries a wide variety of imported products to fulfill your South American needs.  
  • Farmer's Market in Morgantown 
    • Area farmers have gathered together since 2002 to provide Morgantown with local produce. Open on Saturdays from 8:30am to noon.
